Ronin Re-Releases

Objective

12 album covers for re-releases in a new, consistent style for deep house artist Ronin. And a new logo for his production company, Vibestate. Our collaboration later expanded to motion graphics for Spotify and a release poster.

Reasoning

Since Ronin hadn’t released albums for some time, his earlier 90s minimal style became a key reference point I wanted to honor in this work. The music itself is minimal and highly repetitive, which inspired the consistent template of a record shape split in two parts. To balance the restrained imagery and minimal motifs, I chose a wide, bright, and eye-catching color palette. The motion pieces evolved from the covers, with circles and kaleidoscopic shapes in vibrant motion.
